Associate Professor in Bharathanatyam " Secured Post graduation (M. Music) with Ist Rank and Distinction. Achieved Doctorate from Tanjore Tamil University, on the Topic "Dance aspects in "Outhukkadu Venkata Subhayyar songs."

• She is well experienced in teaching dance for the past two decades. She had trained youngsters of Sri Sathguru Sangeetha Samajam, an evening school for fine arts from 1988 to 1993. She has been sharing her practical and theoretical knowledge as a lecturer from 1993. Under her rigorous and devoted training, students have won laurels including cash awards in contests conducted by SPINZ and SIGNET.
• She has also choreographed many dance ballets and dramas such as Thirugyana Sambandhar, Dhasahavatharam, Silappathikaaram, Azhagar Kuravanji, Padhuka Pattabhishekam, Sundarakandam, Angathan Thoodhu, Jadayu Moksham etc., which have been staged all over Tamil Nadu. Adding to her achievements her students performed in Natyanjali festivals held at Chidambaram, Tanjore and Thiruvaiyaaru.
• She has been training students from foreign universities like Oberlin , WISCONSIN and SITA and many of her students are running their own institutions in abroad. She has also presented many articles which have been published in the local newspapers like Dinakaran, Dinamalar etc and also in other university publications.
